The Gabrovo region is situated in the Northern Central part of Bulgaria. The area of this municipality is 2 068 sq km and the population of circa 134 000 people. There is the North Stara Planina mountain and the river of Yantra. Places of interest are the major city of Gabrovo with the open-air ethnological museum Etura, and the traditional village Bojenci.
