UK tour operators marketing Bulgaria

The UK is the second most important foreign market for Bulgaria's tourism industry after Germany.
Some of the British tour operators promote Bulgaria as a vacation destination and they report their booking results for 2006.
British tour operator Thomson and Portland Holiday Direct UK will offer 70 000 summer holiday packages for Bulgaria in 2006. This is more than double compared to the last year. The company will offer also charter services to Varna and Bourgas with Thomsonfly. The tour operator markets hotels in beach resorts Sunny Beach, Golden Sands and Obzor. Another UK tour operator Thomas Cook reports a slowdown in bookings for the summer holidays. Other British tour operators report either small decline or small increase of the year-on-year bookings for Bulgaria.
