New Bulgarian Tourism Industry Union

The new Bulgarian tourism industry union, was created in May 2006 in Sofia. The aim of the non-government organization is to unite the Bulgaria’s tourism sector.
The founders are the Bulgarian Association of Travel Agents (BATA) and the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA).
According to plans, the new union should become a national representative of over 25% of the tourism agencies and companies in Bulgaria. In April participants from 38 companies met and chose the chairman and board members of the new union. More tourism companies are expected to join by the end of May.
